Israel to expand its military campaign against Iran, says Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump told CBS he wants a “real end” to Iran’s nuclear program, the BBC writes.
Trump said he doesn’t think Israel will slow its offensive against Iran. “You’re going to find out over the next two days,” he stated.
The U.S. president noted that he wants the Iranian authorities to leave Tehran for the safety of civilians. According to him, Iran is very close to obtaining a nuclear weapon. He also referred to the remark of French President Emmanuel Macron that the U.S. president left the G7 summit and went to Washington to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
“This is not true and has nothing to do with reaching a ceasefire. The problem is more serious. Emanuel always gets things wrong. I don’t know if he does it intentionally or not,” Trump said.
