Moscow is carefully watching the situation involving Russian citizen Samvel Karapetyan, says Zakharova

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on the situation concerning Samvel Karapetyan, stating that Moscow is closely monitoring the developments, RIA Novosti writes.

“Moscow is paying close attention to the situation involving Russian citizen Samvel Karapetyan, who is being threatened with arrest in Yerevan under strange pretexts,” Zakharova said.

She also noted that Moscow will provide the necessary assistance to ensure that all his rights are respected.

To remind, today, special forces conducted searches at the house of businessman Samvel Karapetyan in Yerevan.
