Belarus, Armenia’s ally in CSTO, deepens military cooperation with Azerbaijan
While on an official visit to Minsk, Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov held talks with his Belarusian counterpart Viktor Khrenin.
According to Belarus’s Defense Ministry, “the parties discussed the current state of bilateral military cooperation and outlined ways to deepen it in mutually interesting areas.”
“We have no problems in our relations or understanding. We only need to review the main areas of cooperation,” Khrenin stated during the meeting.
According to him, cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan is characterized by a high level of trust.
“Once again, I would like to emphasize the high level of our bilateral relations in the military sphere, and most importantly, the existing mutual interest and the potential for further deepening,” Belarus’s defense minister stated.
In turn, Azerbaijan’s defense minister noted that Baku highly values the military and military-technical cooperation between the two countries and aims to deepen it further.
To remind, Minsk and Baku have been cooperating for several years in the field of military technology. This cooperation has faced sharp criticism from Armenia, which, like Belarus, is a CSTO member.
