Pashinyan to attend EAEU forum via video call, says Belarus’s foreign ministry

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not travel to Minsk to personally attend the events of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) and the Eurasian Economic Forum. Instead, he will participate remotely, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov said during a meeting with President Alexander Lukashenko.

During the forum, a plenary session will be held with the participation of Belarusian president and heads of foreign delegations.

All leaders of the EAEU member states, except for the Armenian prime minister, have confirmed their personal attendance at the event.

The forum is also expected to host the official visit of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has also confirmed his participation.

Earlier, it was reported that the president of Iran also plans to visit Minsk.

For now, the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Eurasian Economic Forum of the member states will be held in Minsk on June 26-27.
