Nations lose when they bow down spiritually and ignore the blows dealt to their dignity, says Genesis Armenia

Genesis Armenia Think Tank has issued a statement, which reads as follows:

“Geopolitical crises are intensifying day by day in the region, and the noose of strategic defeat is tightening around Armenia’s neck. The consequences of the Israel-Iran war will be profound and long-term. The issue of asserting influence and reshaping in the South Caucasus poses a challenge to Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The irresponsible and non-initiating policies adopted by the current Armenian authorities threaten Armenia’s independence and the viability of its national-state interests. Efforts to divide Armenians internally are intensifying, undermining state resilience and national institutions, and challenging our people’s aspiration to resist the anti-Armenian hostile policies through united efforts.

Nikol Pashinyan’s politically unbalanced actions aim to strengthen his parliamentary faction and subordinate law enforcement agencies, trying to convince that he still controls the situation. The most vivid manifestation of this failed strategy is the reckless search for “enemies” among the Armenian people and within Armenia. The arrest of well-known benefactor and businessman Samvel Karapetyan is simply a political score-settling, with justice being entirely absent. Samvel Karapetyan is a symbol of the national struggle of the Armenian people and Artsakh, and his arrest is an attempt to silence all those authorities who hold differing opinions and do not accept the policy of national concessions. This is an extremely dangerous precedent, creating an atmosphere of fear among national figures and leaders.

Armenia has become a classic authoritarian state, where the sowing of intolerance has become an applicable tool against national consciousness. This seven-year approach of the Armenian authorities aligns with geopolitical currents fighting against national thinking, traditional values, and historical memory. This is nothing but the dismantling of the state and the debasement of values.

Genesis Armenia calls on our compatriots to reject the policy of division, violation of national, spiritual values, and identity adopted by the Armenian authorities, to break free from submissive attitudes, and to demand an end to political persecutions.

Nations lose when they bow down spiritually and ignore the blows dealt to their dignity,” reads the statement.
