Russia ready to assist Iran in developing peaceful nuclear technology, says Putin

Russia opposes the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction but is ready to help Iran develop peaceful nuclear technology, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with Sky News Arabia.

Putin noted that neither the IAEA nor Russia have any evidence that Iran has attempted to develop nuclear weapons.

“Moscow has repeatedly informed Israel about the absence of evidence regarding Iran’s alleged intentions to acquire nuclear weapons,” the Russian president noted.
