Russia and Iran conduct talks to counter common challenges and threats, says Araghchi
Iran evaluates Russia’s stance regarding the current escalation in the Middle East, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.
“There have always been consultations between Iran and Russia; we have communicated and worked on every issue, coordinating our positions. Now, the special circumstances in the region require our views to be more precise, serious, and aligned,” Araghchi wrote on Telegram.
He also added that he expects to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin issues related to threats in the Middle East, including Israeli and U.S. attack on Iran,
“We share common concerns and adversaries with Russia. We have common convictions, and we hold close consultations to counteract shared challenges and threats,” the Iranian foreign minister concluded.
