Marco Rubio expresses willingness to negotiate with Iran

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that the U.S. is ready to negotiate with Iran starting tomorrow.

“That offer is still there.  We’re prepared to talk to them tomorrow and start working on that,” Rubio stated.

According to him, the United States is not opposed to Iran developing peaceful nuclear energy.

“We want to make a deal with them, a diplomatic deal, within the framework of which they will have a peaceful nuclear program,” Rubio stated.

Referring to the possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran, Rubio said that such a move would be suicidal for the Iranian economy, and many countries, including the United States, would have to respond to it.
