Iran’s nuclear program fully destroyed, says US defense secretary

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that the U.S. has managed to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, noting that the U.S. military targeted exclusively nuclear facilities.

“This was an incredible and astonishing success. We have destroyed Iran’s nuclear program,” Hegseth said during a press conference.

According to him, the operation was pre-planned under strict confidentiality.

Hegseth also stressed that any attempt to retaliate would lead to more severe consequences for Iran.
