US attacks Iran’s nuclear facilities
The U.S. has directly targeted three key nuclear sites in Iran.
“We completed our highly successful attack on Iran’s three nuclear plants—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. All aircraft are now out of Iran’s airspace. A full payload bomb was dropped on the main target, Fordow. All aircraft are safely returning. Congratulations to our great American soldiers. No army in the world is capable of executing this operation. Now it’s time for peace,” U.S. President Donald Trump said.
According to him, Israel is now more protected. The U.S. president personally oversaw the operation to strike Iran.
Iran confirmed the U.S. strikes but stated that it was expected, and therefore evacuation procedures were carried out in advance. It was also noted that no irreversible damage was inflicted on the targets mentioned by the U.S. president.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that no other country in the world could do what the U.S. did with Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Trump had a phone call with Netanyahu after the strike on Iran, the White House stated.
The Israeli prime minister stated that Trump’s bold move will change history. In his view, this U.S. decision could lead the Middle East to prosperity.
U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres stated that the U.S. attack on Iran poses a direct threat to peace and security.
