Moscow is in contact with Yerevan, including regarding Samvel Karapetyan, says Peskov

Moscow is in contact with Yerevan, including regarding the case of the detained businessman Samvel Karapetyan, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.

“We are in contact with our Armenian counterparts. Since Karapetyan is also a Russian citizen, appropriate communications are being carried out,” Peskov told journalists, responding to a question about whether Moscow is involved with Yerevan regarding Karapetyan’s case.

He also said that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about preventing a “coup attempt” in Armenia is an internal matter of Yerevan.
