Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan faces charges

Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan has been formally charged with terrorism and mass disorder, Sergey Harutyunyan, one of Galstanyan’s lawyers, said.

Since early morning, searches have been carried out both at Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan’s residence and at the homes of supporters of the Holy Struggle movement and opposition figures. Searches have also been conducted at the homes of MP Artur Sargsyan, members of Artsakh Parliament, and several other political and public figures. According to preliminary reports, more than twenty people have been detained.
