Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan taken into custody for 2 months
After more than three hours of a hearing, the court announced its decision regarding Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. The court has ordered his custody for two months.
Lawyer Hovhannes Khudinyan stated that, although the decision was expected, they will file an appeal because the ruling is unlawful.
“This trial was conducted with an unlawful judicial panel. Masis Melkonyan was a judge subject to recusal,” Khudinyan explained.
It is still unknown where Galstanyan will be transferred.
To remind, he has been charged with articles related to terrorism and mass unrest.
