Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement is vital for stability and security in the region, says Peskov

Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has stated that Moscow hopes there will be no new escalation between Azerbaijan and Armenia and that work on the peace treaty will be completed.

“We hope this will not happen. The countries are very close to finishing their work on the peace agreement. And we hope this work will be completed. This treaty is very necessary for the stability of the atmosphere and security in the region,” Peskov told reporters.

He noted that Russia, if there is a demand, is ready to do its best to facilitate the process.
