Pezeshkian calls on Aliyev to investigate reports of Israeli drone flights over Iran from Azerbaijan

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke by phone with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, IRNA reports.

During the phone call, special attention was paid to reports of Israeli-made drones flying from Azerbaijan toward Iran.

Iran’s president noted that Tehran continues to closely monitor all aspects related to the country’s security, highlighting the importance of verifying received information in a spirit of transparency and mutual respect.

“Iran has always been committed to friendly policies and supports the development of brotherly relations with all regional countries,” Pezeshkian stated.

In response, Aliyev ruled out the possibility of Azerbaijan using its airspace to attack Iran.
