Iran to seek compensation from US and Israel through UN, says Araghchi
Iran intends to demand compensation from the United States and Israel through U.N. mechanisms over recent strikes on Iranian territory, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.
“We are formally requesting that the U.N. Security Council recognize the United States and the Israeli regime as initiators of aggression,” stated Araghchi in a letter addressed to U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres.
According to Araghchi, such a step is necessary to ensure that these countries “are held accountable, in particular, pay compensation.”
