It will be difficult for Armenia to cooperate with different alliances, says Russia’s State Duma member
Commenting on Armenia’s cooperation programs with the European Union in the defense sector, Andrey Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Russia’s Federation Council, stated that Russia respects the sovereignty and independence of the republic.
“It is very difficult to simultaneously be part of several different organizations, but since we are talking about a sovereign state, we respect Armenia’s sovereignty and independence, and the choice is ultimately up to its people and the legitimate authorities elected there,” Klimov told Lenta.Ru.
According to the politician, the consequences will depend on what decisions the Armenian officials make and how people respond to them.
