Various international partners regularly present proposals to Armenia and Azerbaijan։ Foreign Ministry’s response to Carnegie Endowment’s publication
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has responded to a report published by Carnegie Endowment for International Peace claiming that the United States is advancing its proposal to Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the unblocking of regional infrastructures.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ani Badalyan responded to a query from Armenpress with regard to this issue.
“The unblocking of transport infrastructure in the South Caucasus has been and remains an important priority for Armenia. As it is well known, Armenia has proposed its vision for regional connectivity, the ‘Crossroads of Peace,’ which has already received positive reactions from a number of international partners. Furthermore, Armenia has proposed several solutions in line with this initiative, which could be acceptable to all involved parties. At the same time, various international partners regularly present their ideas on the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, including the unblocking of transport infrastructure between the two countries. Discussions continue with all interested partners with the aim of achieving results that are beneficial and make use of the region’s crossroad potential,” Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ani Badalyan said.
