US State Department spokesperson says Rubio did not make statement about peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan for no reason
During a press briefing, U.S. State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce referred to the statement of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who expressed hope that a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan would be signed very soon.
Asked by a reporter whether there is active U.S. involvement, a U.S.-led, mediated process that is currently underway, and what makes the secretary of state believe that a happy ending can be expected, Bruce replied: “It was important enough, of course, for him to mention. And we’re excited about the multitude of arrangements and ceasefires and changes that we’ve been able to be involved in. The Secretary noted that for a reason, and when we have some more details for you I’ll get it to you.”
