Ban on entry to Armenia for Russian citizens is unfriendly move, says Zakharova
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated during a state briefing that Moscow considers the ban on entry to Armenia for Russian citizens an unfriendly move. Concrete steps have been proposed to resolve the disagreements, and Moscow is awaiting a response.
“We are forced to comment quite often on the topic of ‘stop-list’ figures in relations with Armenia. We regard the entry ban for Russian citizens as an unfriendly step that contradicts the allied nature of Russian-Armenian cooperation. The issue was discussed by the foreign ministers during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Armenia in May. The Russian side has proposed specific measures, and we are now awaiting Yerevan’s response,” Zakharova stated.
