Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemns UN Security Council silence on Israeli actions
Iran’s Foreign Ministry has condemned the “inaction” of the U.N. Security Council regarding Israel’s actions, IRNA writes.
Spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry Esmail Baghaei expressed deep concern and condemned the clashes that took place in the Suweida region of southern Syria, and which resulted in the deaths of dozens of innocent civilians. Baghaei noted that the continued inaction of the U.N. Security Council in response to Israel’s aggressive actions against the region’s countries is “extremely dangerous” and contributes to the “growing shamelessness of the occupying regime.”
To remind, the Israeli army has carried out strikes against Syrian government forces in the Suweida province of southern Syria, following an incident the previous day in a predominantly Druze-populated town, where clashes between Bedouin tribes and local militants resulted in more than 30 casualties.
