Germany and UK strengthen defense cooperation

Germany and the United Kingdom have signed their first agreement since World War II, the BBC writes.

The parties have committed to deepening cooperation in security and defense, bilateral trade, scientific research, and several other areas.

The security agreement includes joint military training exercises, efforts to counter cyber threats and information warfare, and the regulation of arms exports. Additionally, the United Kingdom and Germany have agreed to work together to combat illegal immigration.

The parties have agreed to strengthen bilateral trade within the framework of the EU-UK agreement. The pact also promotes collaboration in science and technology development, including joint research initiatives and educational projects.
