‘The Zangezur Corridor’ will benefit not only the region but also other countries, says Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that the “Zangezur Corridor” will benefit not only Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey but also other countries in the region.

“We consider this route — the ‘Zangezur Corridor’ — extremely important, also due to its geopolitical significance. It will connect countries outside our region and promote trade. We hope that this route will not become a source of disagreement but rather a symbol of consensus. In this way, the region will transform into a prosperous area where cooperation will prevail. We, as the countries of the region, can resolve this issue through consensus,” Erdoğan noted.

The Turkish leader noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attaches great importance to the “Zangezur Corridor”. “He wants this corridor to be ready as soon as possible and to be used for the benefit of both Azerbaijan and the entire region. I am sure we will resolve this issue together,” the Turkish president added.
