Congressman claims Trump’s rhetoric has changed due to his wife’s influence

Republican Congressman Don Beyer suggests that the shift in U.S. President Donald Trump’s rhetoric regarding Ukraine has been influenced by his wife, Melania, The Hill reports.

“I am glad that the president has changed his stance on Ukraine. I think we should thank Melania,” Beyer said.

Earlier, The Times reported that Melania Trump influenced her husband’s decision to resume arms supplies to Kyiv.

Meanwhile, last week, responding to questions from journalists at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, Trump stated that his wife maintains a neutral position on the Ukraine conflict. The White House leader added that his own position aligns with Melania’s opinion.
