US firmly rejects Macron’s plan to recognize Palestine, says Rubio

The United States has not supported France’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

“The U.S. firmly rejects Emmanuel Macron’s plan to recognize the Palestinian state at the U.N. General Assembly. This reckless decision only serves Hamas propaganda and hampers the establishment of peace. It is a slap to the victims of the Oct. 7 events,” Rubio wrote.
