For the first time in 25 years, Israel’s and Syria’s ministers held high-level negotiations. The meeting took place in Paris, mediated by U.S. Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack, reports Axios.
As noted, the negotiations were attended by Israel’s Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer and the foreign minister of Syria’s transitional government. The meeting lasted four hours, with the main topic being the reduction of tensions between the two countries. It is noted that Israel and Syria have already held several meetings in recent months.
