Pope Leo XIV welcomes peace declaration by Armenia and Azerbaijan

During his traditional Sunday sermon, the Pope welcomed the signing of the peace declaration by Armenia and Azerbaijan, TASS reports.

“Let us continue to pray for the end of wars. Congratulations to Armenia and Azerbaijan on the signing of the joint peace declaration. I hope this will contribute to the establishment of lasting peace in the Caucasus,” the Pope said.

He also highlighted the responsibility that comes with decisions, which must take into account the interests of the peoples.
