Ararat Mirzoyan holds phone call with Kaja Kallas
Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Kaja Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
Referring to the Aug. 8 agreements reached in Washington, Mirzoyan highlighted the importance of the initial signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan as the most significant milestone so far in the process of normalizing relations between the two countries.
He stressed that the implementation of the agreement reached on the unblocking of regional communications — in particular, the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project — would have a significant impact on enhancing connectivity in the South Caucasus and beyond.
Minister Mirzoyan also thanked Kaja Kallas for the EU’s congratulations.
