Azerbaijan aware of Russia’s stance on arms or dual-use aid supply to Kyiv, says Russia’s Foreign Ministry
Azerbaijan is well aware of Russia’s stance on supplying weapons to the Kyiv regime, Alexey Fadeev, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department at Russia’s Foreign Ministry said, noting that such actions would only worsen the situation on the ground.
The diplomat was responding to reports that Baku might lift its ban on supplying arms to Kyiv if Russian forces continue to strike Azerbaijani gas facilities located in Ukraine.
“Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken note of these reports, and I can say that our Azerbaijani colleagues are well aware of our position regarding the supply of weapons or dual-use humanitarian aid to the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv. We believe such actions do not contribute to a peaceful settlement of the conflict and will only exacerbate the situation on the ground,” Fadeev said.
