Trump urges Zelenskyy to ‘make a deal’ with Putin following Alaska summit

Speaking on Fox News’ program “Hannity”, Donald Trump called on Volodymyr Zelenskyy to “make a deal” with Vladimir Putin following their summit in Alaska.

The three-hour meeting between Trump and Putin ended without an agreement on the war in Ukraine. “There is no deal until a deal is made,” Trump remarked, adding that he intends to brief Zelenskyy and NATO member states on the outcome of the talks.

In the interview with Fox News, Trump described the summit as “very productive.”

“We reached agreements on many issues, and the meeting was very warm and constructive between two important countries,” he said.

When asked by the host whether a potential Putin-Zelenskyy meeting could take place without a mediator, Trump responded: “They both want me to be there — and I will be.”
