Macron and Erdoğan discuss Yerevan-Baku settlement process

French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which, among other issues, they discussed the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process and the declaration signed in Washington.

“We also spoke about the hope that emerged from the Aug. 8 meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan under the auspices of U.S. President Trump. It is important that developments continue, ensuring the reopening of all borders and strengthening regional cooperation,” Macron wrote.
