US delegation to visit Azerbaijan
A new phase of economic and trade cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States has begun following the signing of a memorandum in Washington, the U.S. Embassy in Baku said in a statement.
According to the embassy, on Aug. 8 President Donald Trump held talks on what it called a historic agreement, which is expected to bring a definitive end to the decades-long conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“On the same day, the United States and Azerbaijan signed a memorandum to establish a strategic working group that will prepare a Strategic Partnership Agreement aimed at deepening U.S.–Azerbaijan economic ties. This marks the beginning of a new era of economic and trade cooperation between our two countries,” the embassy statement said.
As noted, a U.S. business delegation will visit Azerbaijan from Sept. 7 to 9.
