Iran’s Parliament labels ‘Zangezur Corridor’ direct threat to collective security

Iran’s parliament has voiced opposition to the proposed “Zangezur Corridor”, the Telegram channel Voice of Iran writes.

Parliament Spokesperson Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf expressed concern over the project, saying its implementation runs counter to the interests of the region’s peoples and could threaten overall security.

Ghalibaf also criticized President Masoud Pezeshkian’s stance on the issue, calling his statements harmful to Iran’s national interests.

Out of 290 lawmakers, 150 endorsed a parliamentary statement on the “Zangezur Corridor,” describing the project as “contrary to the interests of the region’s peoples and a direct threat to collective security.”
