‘There will be no corridor — Nothing can be achieved by force,’ says Iran’s ambassador to Armenia
Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani commented on statements regarding the “Zangezur Corridor”, noting that he has not heard the route connecting Azerbaijan’s western regions with Nakhijevan through Armenia’s Syunik province was called that way.
In response to the observation that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev used this term during a summit in China, the ambassador stated: “There is nothing called a ‘corridor.’ We are talking about a road — neither the peace agreement nor any signed declaration mentions a corridor. There will be no corridor; nothing can be achieved by force.”
