Tusk calls airspace incident ‘large-scale provocation’

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has accused Russia of a “large-scale provocation” following an incident in Poland’s airspace, Sky News reports.

According to Tusk, Warsaw is holding talks with its allies and stands ready to respond to any attacks or provocations. He stressed, however, that there were no casualties and the situation remains under control, adding that there is no reason for panic.

Earlier, Tusk confirmed that Poland’s airspace had been violated during the night of Sept. 10. Polish media reported that four airports, including Warsaw’s, temporarily suspended operations due to unplanned military activity linked to national security measures.
