Turkey to be Palestine’s voice at UN General Assembly, says Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met in Ankara to discuss Israel’s attacks on Palestine and broader regional issues.

During the meeting, Erdoğan stated that Israel threatens not only Palestine but also regional stability, citing the attack on Qatar as evidence. He added that Israel seizes every opportunity to assert its stance, undermining peace.

“The number of leaders and public figures criticizing Israel is growing, and efforts to increase international pressure on Israel continue. Turkey will continue to decisively raise the issue of Palestine and Israel’s aggression on all platforms. Turkey’s priority is the immediate establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza and ending the humanitarian tragedy in the region. Israel demonstrates its peace-disrupting stance at every opportunity, and Turkey will be the voice of Palestine at the UN General Assembly,” Erdoğan said.
