As long as Artsakhis are deprived of their homeland and graves, the issue remains unresolved, says Samvel Shahramanyan
For years, the Minsk Group handled conflict resolution, repeatedly assuring us that the Artsakh issue has no military solution, Samvel Shahramanyan, Fifth President of Artsakh, said at the Yerablur Military Pantheon.
“Unfortunately, both globally and in general, the situation and reality have changed; opinions have shifted, and we are witnessing that in many cases around the world, issues are being resolved by force,” Shahramanyan added.
When asked what he thinks about the peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Shahramanyan said: “We welcome any initiative aimed at peace, whether with Azerbaijan or our other neighbors. However, we consistently emphasize that the issue of the Artsakhis must receive an appropriate resolution. The issue remains unresolved as long as Artsakhis are deprived of their homeland, their graves, and their sacred sites.”
