US envoy Witkoff to step down

U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff may leave his post by the end of the year, The Times of Israel writes, citing an anonymous American official.

The move is partly linked to apparent progress in the Gaza war following President Donald Trump’s announcement that Israel has accepted the latest U.S. proposal.
