Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey support Trump’s plan
Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey are urging Hamas to accept U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to stabilize the situation in the Gaza Strip, Axios reports, citing two sources familiar with the negotiations.
“Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey are calling on Hamas to respond positively to President Trump’s proposal to end the war in Gaza,” the news outlet said.
Earlier this week, Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Egypt’s intelligence chief Hassan Rashad presented Trump’s plan to Hamas leaders in Doha, urging the movement to accept it. As noted, Al-Thani stated that no better agreement is possible and expressed confidence that Trump is genuinely committed to ending the conflict.
On Tuesday, Al-Thani and Rashad met again with Hamas representatives, this time joined by Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization chief, Ibrahim Kalin.
