Syria’s former president Bashar al-Assad poisoned in Moscow
Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has been poisoned in Moscow, Russian media report, citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Assad was discharged from a hospital on the outskirts of Moscow on Sept. 29.
According to sources, while he was hospitalized, only his brother and the former head of the presidential administration were allowed to visit him.
“The party responsible for the act planned to put Moscow in a difficult position and accuse it of the former president’s assassination,” the source added.
