Kocharyan: There was a table, a chair, a painting… and Pashinyan — He was a decoration in the US

Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan commented today on the document preliminarily signed in the United States on Aug. 8, outlining what he believes each party gained from it.

“The United States received control over the future corridor, the opportunity to effectively control the border with Iran, and a Nobel Prize nomination for the U.S. president,” Kocharyan said.

According to him, Azerbaijan gained the right to a corridor through Armenia’s territory, the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, and the repeal of Section 907.

“What did Armenia get? I tried to find specifics in the document — zero, only problems. And what did Nikol Pashinyan get? There is something quite concrete — a photo signed by Trump. He received a document with no legal force, which only allows him to deceive the Armenian people once again,” Kocharyan stated. “What preliminary conclusion can be drawn from this? Իn the White House, Nikol Pashinyan was merely a decoration. There was a table, a chair, a painting, a flag — and Pashinyan.”
