Trump may travel to Middle East this week to discuss ending Gaza conflict

U.S. President Donald Trump says he may travel to the Middle East on Sunday as talks progress on striking a deal to end the war in Gaza, CNN writes.

“They’re doing very well. We have a great team over there, great negotiators, and they’re, unfortunately, great negotiators on the other side also,” Trump said, adding he’d been speaking with his team before arriving at his event.

“It’s something I think that will happen, got a good chance of happening. I may go there sometime toward the end of the week, maybe on Sunday,” he said. “Actually, and we’ll see, but there’s a very good chance that negotiations are going along very well,” Trump said.

He did not say which country he might visit.
