Not a search for traitors, but unity among patriots: Highlights from Arman Tatoyan’s speech
Arman Tatoyan has launched the political initiative “Wings of Unity.” Below are highlights from his speech:
- For a long time, people asked me why I wasn’t taking serious steps in politics — now the time has come. We are creating a political movement called Wings of Unity, whose goal is to bring people together.
- Today we need to build a state where Armenia is right again, where we are right again. Today, everyone is proposing programs, but they are leaving them unfinished, like the construction of our Cascade, which has been abandoned for decades, or the “Children’s World” store in the center of Yerevan.
- We need a history that restores national dignity — a history about ourselves.
- Not a search for traitors, but unity among patriots; not “us versus them,” but equality — economic equality and a fair tax policy.
- To the Diaspora, we say: you are not guests, and not just financiers. Your mission should not be charity but investment — you are the bearers of Armenian culture. Without the Diaspora, Armenia is weak; without Armenia, the Diaspora cannot endure for long.
- We can replace Western alignment with a policy of multilateralism; we can develop without abandoning our national values — this is how we will eliminate polarization. What we need is strength: a truly strong state is a just state.
