
Pashinyan and Aliyev hold warm talks, says CIS secretary-general
CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev reported that during the CIS summit in Dushanbe, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a warm discussion focused on further progress in strengthening peace and security in the region.
“It wasn’t just the weather, but also the beautiful, festive atmosphere in Dushanbe that contributed to numerous meetings and discussions, which yielded positive results. You probably saw for yourselves how the Armenian Prime Minister and the Azerbaijani President had a very warm conversation, discussing not contentious issues but rather how to advance peace and security in the South Caucasus,” Lebedev told reporters after the summit.
He added that “many warm and meaningful talks also took place between other heads of state, noting that these discussions included specific proposals and projects.
