Trump imposes 100% tariffs on Chinese goods

Starting Nov. 1, the U.S. will impose a new 100% tariff on goods imported from China, U.S. President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post.

“The United States of America will impose a Tariff of 100% on China, over and above any Tariff that they are currently paying. Also on November 1st, we will impose Export Controls on any and all critical software,” Trump wrote.

According to the U.S. president, this step is a response to China’s “extraordinarily aggressive” trade policies.
