US delegation arrives in Gaza

U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff said he has visited the Gaza Strip to monitor the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire by Israel.

“Admiral Cooper, Jared Kushner, and I traveled to Gaza today to check Israel’s compliance with the first phase of the agreement,” Witkoff wrote on X.

According to Witkoff, they were briefed in detail on security issues, humanitarian aid, and conflict prevention measures.

Earlier, on Oct. 10, the Israeli military announced that a ceasefire had come into effect in the Gaza Strip.
