Trump invites Zelensky to Washington this week for talks

U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled for this week.

Citing Ukraine’s embassy, the New York Post reports that Zelensky has received an official invitation from the White House to visit the United States.

“President Trump has invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington for discussions this week, fresh off the high of ending the war in Gaza,” the newspaper writes.

Yesterday, Trump stated that the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas has ended, and that it is now time to focus on the Ukrainian crisis.
