Court ruling in Vardan Ghukasyan’s case to be announced today

Court hearings on the arrest of Vardan Ghukasyan concluded almost at dawn, and the decision will be announced today at 9:45 a.m., attorney Zaruhi Postanjyan said.

According to her, during the session, only the printed version of an audio recording was presented, while no digital copies were submitted.

“Vardan Ghukasyan was wiretapped after becoming mayor — in his apartment, car, and office — but the judicial authorization for that surveillance was not presented to the court today,” Postanjyan stated.

She also noted that the architect who has been charged in the same case is a longtime employee of the municipality who also worked during the tenure of former mayor Sarik Minasyan.
