President Trump has given his name to this project: TRIPP will definitely be implemented, says Aliyev

The TRIPP project will definitely be implemented, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a press conference in Astana following talks with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“As you know, one of the achievements of the summit held in Washington in August was the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) project. President Trump has given his name to this project, which means it will certainly be realized. This opens another route along the Middle Corridor. In addition to the traditional route, another one is emerging — through Zangezur — with a freight turnover of 15 million tons, meeting modern standards. Therefore, the volume of cargo transportation between Asia and Europe through our countries has potential for growth and will also have greater capacity for reception and shipment,” the Azerbaijani president noted.
