Trump-Putin meeting not planned in near future, says White House

U.S. President Donald Trump is not planning to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the near future, Reuters reports, citing a White House official.

“President Trump is not planning to meet President Putin in the near future. Rubio and Lavrov had an effective phone conversation. Therefore, there is no need for an additional in-person meeting between the secretary of state and the foreign minister,” Trump’s administration stated.
